A Collection of Bible Verses

This growing collection of Bible verses may be useful in finding verses for devotions, prayer, letters or notes to fellow Christians, Bible study, memorization, and more.  There are 460 verses as of 12/30/06.  New with this update - there is a direct link to from each verse to BibleGateway.com, so that the entire context of the verse can be readily studied.

The verses can be displayed in an organized table, with the book reference in the first column, the verse itself in the second column, and any pertinent chapter heading or topic in the third column.  Alternatively, the verse can be displayed on a single line, with the book reference on the next line in italics.

After choosing the methods of displaying the verses, you can choose from one of the categories listed on the left, or you can choose to view all of the verses in the collection.  There also are special collections of verses, such as a list of verses that form the basis for popular praise and worship songs.

Most of the verses are from the New International Version of the Bible, while some are from other versions, such as the Kings James Version.  Many of the verses could fit into more than one category, and certainly many, many more verses could be added to this list.
