Flag Football Cheerleading
General
Information:
- There are two cheerleading opportunities through the Upward
Hanover League: Upward Basketball Cheerleading and Upward
Flag Football Cheerleading.
- Upward Basketball Cheerleading takes place during the Upward
Basketball season, and is for girls in Pre-Kindergarten through
8th grade. There is one cheerleading practice during the
week, and cheerleading during one of the Saturday basketball
games. Cheerleading takes place at most of the game
locations, except for New Highland Baptist Church.
- Upward Flag Football Cheerleading takes place during the
Upward Flag Football season, and is usually for girls in 1st
through 8th grade. There is one cheerleading practice
during the week, and cheerleading during one of the Saturday
football games. Cheerleading takes place at the fields of
New Hanover Presbyterian Church.

Registration ended October 4, 2008.
Evaluation Day is October 4, 2008.
Practices Begin - The week of January 5, 2009
First Game - January 24, 2009
Awards Night - March 20, 2009
Final Game - March 21,2009
- Registration for Flag Football Cheerleading 2009 begins
April 13, 2009.
Evaluation Day - June 6, 2009
Practices Begin - The week of August 3, 2009
First Game Day - September 5, 2009
Last Game Day - October 31, 2009
End of Season Celebration - November 6, 2009
