Perception is Reality?  The Seen vs. the Unseen.

The next images illustrate how our perception of an image can actually falsify the real appearance of a subsequent images.  Stare at the plus sign in the center of the image below for about 10 seconds, and then click the image.  What do you see?  Click the image again to repeat the example.

The birds in the first image are different, with be right bird being dimmer and of low contrast compared to the left bird.  However, in the second image (after clicking), the birds are actually identical.  Initially, the left bird appears to be dimmer,  with less contrast.  Gradually, the birds appear identical.

Our visual perception becomes used to the faded appearance of the right bird in the first image to such an extent that it distorts the appears of the left bird in the second image.  Gradually, our perception recovers, and reveals the true, identical nature of the birds.

Similarly, without God in our lives, we rely on our physical senses and perception to understand the world.  But as shown above, this can be unreliable and distorted, leading false perceptions and poor decisions.
