Senior High Summer Mission Trip!
International M-Fuge in Guadalajara, Mexico
June
21-29, 2002
Hello!
How
is everything going for you? We
want to get some early information out about next summer’s mission trip. We have reservations made to attend
International Mission Fuge in Guadalajara,
Mexico. The group here at
CSBC have participated in Mission Fuge for several years, and there is
tremendous evidence how it has changed their lives for eternity. I’m excited about leading the group
this year to another level of missions and wanted to touch base with you.
M-Fuge
International is similar to stateside M-Fuge, but has a more intensive mission
emphasis. We feel that although not
everyone may be ready for this next step in ministry, it will be a special
opportunity we can provide for those who God leads to this trip. We are confident that God will do
tremendous things in the lives of those participating, and are excited about
leading this special event! God
wants and calls every believer to missions.
A trip of this magnitude is not just for those who are going, but
requires the support of our entire student ministry and church to make it work.
The
trip schedule dates are set, and this packet will provide you with much
information to plan for this trip. I
know cost is always a concern, but we believe that this opportunity is a matter
of faith, and working together our goal is to make it very affordable for each
participant. The process of raising
support, and learning to trust God for that support is an important part of the
missions experience. If God is
leading someone to be a member of this team, then our prayer is they will commit
to all the preparation and equipping to make it possible.
The
total cost of this trip will be approximately $700, which includes camp cost,
airfare, lodging, ground transportation, and food. We have reserved 20 places, and need at
least 5 adults to make everything work. Enclosed
is the training schedule, along with the other information we have at this time. More details on what to bring and
specifics on lodging, etc… will be available once the team is set.
Please
pray about your involvement, as we know not everyone will be able to go. We appreciate your help, and look
forward to this being just a great part of a tremendous summer in our student
ministry!
With His Love,
Rachel Phillips

About the

Mexican city economically and politically. Students from the US will work with
missionaries to share the life-changing gospel with Mexican
students. Our ministry to these people will be alongside the
local churches.
Cost: $425 per person (not
including airfare & insurance) Estimated trip total – approximately $1000.
Fundraiser
Support: This will be a major focus in the coming
year & opportunities each month will go toward raising money for this trip. We want our teenagers & adults to be
able to participate based on faith and need, not cost. Some fundraisers will
include: Mexican Dinner Theater, Rent A Youth Projects, Special Olympics,
Support letters, Car Washes, and various other projects. The church has opened a designated
account for Youth Missions & all money will go toward mission trip expenses. Anyone who gives to this account will
know exactly what the money will go towards.
Typical Schedule:
Similar to M-Fuge experience, as students choose various
ministry tracks. However, more time
will be spent doing ministry than a typical stateside M-Fuge. The day will also include Bible Study,
Quiet Times, Worship Times, and Church group ministries.
Training: This will be a major emphasis as much preparation needs
to be done to have a successful trip. Participation
in fundraisers & training is required for all participants. Anyone who attends less than 75% of the

with the youth group is also required to prepare each student for this level of
