  Volunteer Opportunities in the Cool Spring Child Care Center
   

• General Volunteer Duties:
   
  • Check with teachers to see if they need paper products or any other supplies.
  • Bring up and take down snack / lunch trays (morning and afternoon).
  • Put afternoon snack away; wash any dishes and pitchers.
  • Set up for lunch for school-age children; clean tables and wipe out chairs after each lunch block; sweep floors after lunch is over.
  • Fill water coolers for school-age and preschool children for outside.
  • Rinse and dry water coolers out at en the day.
  • Fill pools for preschoolers on swim days; put pools away in afternoon.
  • Check all bathrooms for supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper).
  • Clean trash cans.
  • Wash toys.
  • Help teachers as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned by staff person in charge.
     
• Volunteer Requirements / Expectations:
   
  • Volunteers are required to have a current TB test (within two years of volunteering).
  • Willingness to commit to a schedules mutually agreed on by volunteer and director (regarding days of the week and times worked).
  • Dependable and prompt in attendance.
  • Willingness to do what is assigned.
  • Appropriate in behavior and dress.
  • Carry out duties with a good attitude.
