Join us each month from September to May as we explore Virginia's historical sites, concerts and museums, guided tours and great restaurants. People of all ages are welcome to attend any of the events.

Potluck Luncheon & Speaker Daisy Howard-Douglas
“Dramatization of a Buffalo Soldier”

Bring your favorite southern dish like “beans and cornbread” for a hearty potluck luncheon.  After lunch enjoy our guest speaker, Daisy Howard-Douglas, who will make history come alive with her dramatization of a Buffalo Soldier from the Civil War era.  There will be a display of articles, artifacts & uniforms from the period.  Daisy will also have her most recent book available for sale.  Hope you can join us for a delicious meal and engaging speaker!

Museum of the Bible in Washington, DC

Join the Travelers was we take a motor coach to see the newest museum in Washington, DC, The Museum of the Bible.  This museum documents the narrative, history and impact of the Bible. Topics covered include the Bible’s influence on the arts, science, government, education, family, pop culture, and American history. We will enjoy an hour-long guided tour that will focus on what there is to see on each floor. After that tour, everyone will be let go to explore the museum at their leisure. In addition to the exhibits, the museum features a beautiful, two-story, glass roof with a biblical garden and theater. Lunch will be on your own in one of the Museum’s dining establishments.

Cancellations made after the registration deadline are non-refundable unless your spot can be filled with someone on the waiting list.
