SilverSneakers / Seniors

SilverSneakers is a fun, energizing program that helps older adults take greater control of their health by encouraging physical activity and offering social events. Unlock the door to greater independence and a healthier life with SilverSneakers. Health plans around the country offer our award-winning program to people who are eligible for Medicare or to group retirees.

Tivity Health members participation in SilverSneakers provides a complimentary Rec Center pass. For non-Tivity Health members, the cost is $15 per month or $40 for 3 months.  For questions, contact Marty Rowe at (804) 921-9555 or at


The classes offered are listed below:


This is a 50/50 class.  The first half will be low impact cardio style exercise.  The second half will be focused on stretching, joint movement, flexibility, and balance.  No chairs will be used.

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support.

New Fellowship Hall


Get up and go with an aerobics class that’s safe, heart-healthy and gentle on the joints. The workout includes easy-to-follow, low-impact movement and upper-body strength, abdominal conditioning, stretching and relaxation exercises designed to energize your active lifestyle.  This time slot will be used to also offer a variety of classes to include stretching, balance, and flexibility routines.
