Community Bible Study (CBS) is an interdenominational, in- depth Bible study and welcomes people from all backgrounds and levels of Bible knowledge. CBS includes weekly lessons, small group (core group) discussion of the lesson, a 1/2 hour weekly lecture, and periodic fellowship times during the year.

“The mission of Community Bible Study is to make disciples of Jesus Christ in our community through caring, in-depth Bible Study available to all.”

Beginning in September 2011, study of the Gospel of John will be studied. CBS meets at Cool Spring on Tuesday evenings, usually from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. CBS follows the school schedule, and meets from September through May.

The CBS leaders for the Men's Group, the Women's Group, and Teen's Group give the lecture. The Men's Group now meets in the Sanctuary prior to the Core Group meetings.


Fellowship Time Before Core Group


There are usually four fellowships during the year.


The fellowships are often combined with the women's CBS group.


On a fellowship night, the men's, women's, or teen
study leader will give a combined lecture to the
men's and women's groups.


Community Bible Study is interdenominational, and people from many
diverse area churches attend.


The Fellowship dinners can be either jointly prepared by the men and women, or it might be a cookout or pizza dinner.
