The ministry of Rev. Larry Frakes was honored on March 29, 2009 after serving 25 years as Senior Pastor at Cool Spring Baptist Church.

A special service was held which featured past remembrances and reflections from Dora Gin Boxley, Alvin Allen, Delane Martin, Lynne Moore, Kevin Blunt, and Linda McNally.  Dr. Steve Allsbrook from the Dover Association spoke, and there was special music from the Cool Spring Choir and soloist Pam Beam.

The master of ceremonies was Rev. Ted Tussey, and Rev. Wayne Smith presented a gift to Larry and Barbara.  Several past staff members from Cool Spring attended the event, as well as staff members from churches that Rev. Frakes had acted as Senior Pastor prior to Cool Spring.
