Evangelism: You were Made for a Mission
God is at work in the world,
and he wants you to join him. This assignment is called your mission.
God wants you to have both a ministry in the Body of Christ and a mission in the
world. Your ministry is your service to believers, and your mission is
your service to unbelievers.
Your life mission is
both shared and specific. Jesus clearly understood his life mission on
earth. At age twelve he said, "I must be about my Father's business," and
twenty-one years later, dying on the cross, he said, "It is finished."
Like bookends, these two statements frame a well-lived, purpose-driven life.
If you will commit to fulfilling your mission in life no matter what it costs,
you will experience the blessing of God in ways that few people ever experience.
There is almost nothing God won't do for the man or woman who is committed to
serving the kingdom of God.
If you want to be used by
God, you must care about what God cares about; what he cares about most is the
redemption of the people he made. He wants his lost children found!
Nothing matters more to God; the Cross proves that. I pray that you will
always be on the lookout to reach "one more for Jesus" so that when you stand
before God one day, you can say, "Mission accomplished!"
Here’s the “Get in the GAME!” plan
for Sunday, November 23
Celebration Services
8:30 AM or 10:30 AM
Get ready to Celebrate! Join us for one (or both) of our Celebration Services at
8:30 & 10:30. Each service is guaranteed to generate a voice of praise sure to
excite the average listener. Come share in the experience as we reflect back on
what we have learned with gratitude in our hearts to God. Remember, you were
formed for God’s family. It won’t be the same if you’re not here!
Ministry Fair
9:30 - 12:30 PM
This fun event is being held in conjunction with our Celebration Services. The
fair is set up like a job fair. Visit the various ministry booths and learn
about what it takes to be a part of the different ministries. After you find one
that suits your gifts and availability, sign up with a consultant to become a
part of that ministry. This is a great way to see all the different ministries
at Cool Spring and find your place to “Get in the Game!” Plan to come early and
stay late!
Children’s Celebration Services in Sanctuary!
8:30 - 10:00 AM or
10:30 AM -12:00 NOON
Join the Children’s Ministry in celebrating the success of their “40 Days!”
We’ll have fun, music, worship & a surprise guest will join us!
Children age 4 - 4th grade are invited to attend either service.
Tables will be set up outside the sanctuary for parents to sign in children.
Please note: Parents should allow enough time for the check-in procedure.
Parents will be given time to pick up their children at the conclusion of the
morning worship services. We ask that you allow your children to share in the
Ministry Fair with you. They will enjoy & learn from the experience.
While age 4-4th graders are asked to attend the Ministry Fair with their
parents, infants—age 3 will be cared for in the Preschool Wing of the Children’s
Building.
What is God doing in my life through 40 Days of Purpose?
We’d love to hear how learning God’s purposes for your life has impacted you.
Again in this Sunday’s bulletin you will find a “My Story” insert. Write down
your story or a story that you have heard. We would like to hear how God is
working in the lives of our church. Read some stories people have submitted at
40 Days of Purpose Stories and Prayers. You can drop your story in the “My
Story” box at the welcome center or e-mail it to
lfrakes@coolspring.org
