SUMMER WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY
"Ruth: Loss, Love & Legacy"
By Kelly Minter
This study of Ruth's journey of unbearable loss, redeeming love, and
divine legacy is the second book in the Living Room Series. It delves
into the virtuous character of Ruth, her unique relationship with her
mother-in-law Naomi and her blossoming love with Boaz. If you've ever
felt devastated, struggled as a stranger, longed to be loved or wept
along the way, you'll find a loyal sister in Ruth. The class will meet
from July 8 - August 19 on Thursdays from 6:15-7:30 pm in the Mission
Café. Please contact Wendy Berenson at 550-9763 if you have any
questions.
WOMEN'S FALL BIBLE STUDY
"A Woman After God's Own Heart"
The study “A Woman After God's Own Heart” by Elizabeth George will begin
in September. This group will meet Tuesday mornings 9:30-11:39 beginning
Sept. 7 in a home near Cool Spring.
This is an excellent bible study for women. It will help us develop our
relationship with our God, our husband, our children, our ministry, our
home, etc. There will be study work to be done each week and group time
on Tuesdays.
If you are interested, call Marsha Dodd at 779-0659, Sept. will be too
late to join.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY |
|
|
From
birth through kindergarten, children are introduced to the Christian
faith through age-specific hands-on activities and learning experiences.
For elementary age children, the church is of major importance in
providing positive opportunities to learn of Jesus Christ, to
study His Word, and to come to a personal knowledge of His redeeming
love. Through caring Christian teachers, our elementary age
children participate in bible Study, missions and music groups, Vacation
Bible School, fellowships, discipleship groups, and other activities
throughout the year. All of theses activities provide a foundation
of Christian beliefs which will last a lifetime.
There is a specific Preschool Ministry for children age 5 and below,
Sunday morning G-Force for grades 1-3, and 4th and 5th grade Sunday
morning Bible studies.
AWANA is offered on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:45, and includes
children from age 3 through 5th Grade.

DISCIPLESHIP DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING |
|
|
Discipleship Development - This discipleship Team directs the
Leadership and Discipleship Training for adults. Discipleship ministry
develops, organizes and directs training and education ministries to
support the spiritual and numerical growth of the church. The goal of
this ministry is to create and implement an effective discipleship
ministry. The team leaders direct the Leadership Training Group and
Discipleship Development Group leaders in their tasks.
Leadership Training - The Leadership Training Group develops a
strategy to train leaders for the task of growing disciples. They direct
a leadership training ministry tailored to the current needs of the
Church, work with other ministries to provide coordinated training and
direct the Ministry Orientation and Training Workshop for new leaders.
Church Communications Network - The Church Communications Network
(CCN) group assists the Leadership Training Group Leaders by offering
telecast conferences at Cool Spring that will develop the leadership of
the church. They coordinate, develop, promote and implement a schedule
of conferences for leadership to choose from for personal enrichment.
They also work with the Technology Team to maintain equipment and
schedule technicians and maintain contracts with CNN.
Discipleship Training - The Discipleship Training Group Leaders
develop a strategy to provide short term courses of study that enable
the individual to develop as a follower of Jesus Christ. Three
ministries help facilitate this process: Adult Discipleship, Women's
Ministries, and Men's Ministries. Short term courses are offered
beginning in January, April, and September of each year.
Adult Discipleship - The Adult Discipleship Ministry is
responsible for coordinating discipleship courses for adults in every
aspect of the Christian life. This requires communication with the seven
church Ministry Teams to determine which courses will be offered for
each Discipleship Term (Fall, Winter, Spring) in order to develop fully
committed followers of Jesus Christ. This group complies a brochure for
each term promoting courses primarily through "Back to Bible Study"
events.
