Troubleshooting Photo Customization
NOTE: This Photo Customization has been developed
and tested using the following browsers:
Possible Problems and Solutions:
-
Nothing Happens when I click on the type of
photo that I want to create.
Possible Solution: This customization will not work if you
have a pop-up blocker enabled on your browser. If you have
Internet Explorer, Click the "Tools" tab at the top. If there is a
choice for "pop-up blocker, make sure that it is disabled.
-
When I click on the type of photo that I want
to create, there is no photo inside of the page.
Possible Solution: Make sure that you actually selected a
photo before clicking customization. You need to have selected
and be viewing the large photo of your choice before clicking
Customize.
Possible Solution: If your photo has
an empty box with an "X" in it and you did select a photo as
above, or the statement "undefined" appears, you may not have the
most recent update of Internet Explorer. You can download the
most recent version at the
Microsoft Internet Explorer Website, and you can get other
updates at the
Microsoft Windows Update Page.
-
There is not enough room to type
in the caption I want to type.
Solution: Depending on the photo selected, the caption and
heading type is of a pre-determined size in order to fit into the
photo. The only solution is to make the caption or heading the
same size or less than what is allowed in the text entry boxes.
-
Printing problems.
Possible solutions: Make sure the printer is set for an 8 1/2
by 11 inch page in Portrait orientation for Sports
Illustrated photos. Make sure that the printer
set-up is set to print the page centered vertically and
horizontally, and that it is not set up to make the photo "fill
the page". The photos print out best in color and on a glossy type
of printer paper.
-
Printing Problem: Only part of the photo prints
out.
Solution: Make sure that you right click your mouse outside
of the image and its borders, such as on the text "Right Click
Here to Print this Page" at the bottom of the page.
-
I cannot Email or Save the photo
to my computer.
Solution: It may be possible on some computers with Microsoft
Outlook to Email or correctly save
these pages where the photo is embedded into the page. The
other options to save the page is by printing the page or by a screen capture
program.
