"Then
they said,
"What
further
testimony do
we need? We
have heard
it ourselves
from his own
lips."
Luke 22:71
Every couple
of months I
receive
Sports
Spectrum
Magazine.
This
magazine is
designed to
share
relevant
sports
topics and
life stores
of
professional
athletes.
Sports
Spectrum is
a good
resource for
an
encouraging
outlook on
sports in a
world that
lately only
receives
negative
attention.
While I am
cautious at
times about
putting
people's
faces on the
cover of
magazines
and books,
simply
because with
the
attention of
the press
comes the
temptations
of life and
we are all
human, I
have come to
this
conclusion:
stories are
powerful.
For many
cultures,
stories are
the key
ingredient
to
communication.
Stories
paint
pictures
with
details,
facts,
feelings,
and draw
interests of
others.
It was the
stories of
the
scripture
that were
used to
reveal
truth. From
Jesus
sharing
parables to
lakeside
talks and
eye witness
testimonies
from Mark,
John, Paul,
and others.
It was the
sharing of a
story that
turned
people's
attention to
a life
changing
message.
Each of us
has a story.
While others
can debate
opinions,
your story
cannot be
debated.
It's your
life and
it's your
message.
Think about
your story
and how you
could share
it with
others.
Think about
how your
relationship
with Christ
has impacted
or changed
your story.
Whether you
are
investing in
others,
speaking
with people
in the
community,
or writing
it down for
the next
generation,
your story
can be used
as powerful
tool to
point people
to Christ.
