On behalf of my family; Kelly, Tyler (16) and
Brendan (9), I would like to say thank you for a
great first week at Cool Spring. Thank you for
greeting us in a warmly manner and making us feel
welcome. Over the last several days, we have had the
opportunity to get settled into a new home and new
office - the word "settled" would be defined as all
boxes are empty! We still have a ways to go, but at
least we can see the floors beneath our feet.
It has been very exciting for me to see how the
Lord's hand has been upon Cool Spring. I have been
able to witness your generosity, warm-hearted
spirit, and genuine excitement for impacting our
community through the local church. I have also
observed, by way of the community as people have
asked about my place of employment, that most are
familiar with Cool Spring and its various
ministries. The testimony of the Lord and His people
is powerful!
Over the next several months, I will be
intentionally making an effort to meet each of you.
Please be sure to stop me in the Rec Center or in
the hallways to introduce (or reintroduce) yourself
to me and my family. I believe relationships are one
of the most important things we can have in life.
Relationships are important because they represent
that which God desires to have with us through his
son, Jesus. Having a personal relationship with
Christ should create in us a desire to have personal
relationships with others so that we can invest in
and invite them into a relationship with a living
God!
I will also be observing and reviewing the various
areas of the Recreation ministry. It is my desire to
become familiar with the leagues, classes,
procedures, and programs in order to continue to
develop and improve our outreach focus.
Again, thanks for your warm welcome and I look
forward to serving together.
Partners with a Purpose,
Greg English
Recreation Minister

We're
looking for new ideas for our fall craft classes.
Should we change the night? Should we try to keep
the price at $10 or are you willing to pay more?
What craft would you like to learn how to make?
Would you be willing to teach a class? Should we
have some classes just for children?
If you have some suggestions, please contact Judy
Burruss at 730-7090.
