"The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and
though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. For we
were all baptized by one Spirit into one body..." 1 Corinthians
12:12
The Cool Spring Recreation Ministry is
an outreach to persons of all ages.
We seek to combine the gift of leisure with

Cool Spring Travelers
Tour/Lunch in Ashland
Tuesday, March 23
Come explore Church Quarter, a charming log cabin in western Hanover
built around 1843. Its recently restored brick orangery is one of only
two such dependencies still surviving in Hanover County. Our next stop
will be historic Fork Church that dates back to 1722. After experiencing
the church's rich history, we are off to the Iron Horse Restaurant in
Ashland for lunch. After lunch, we'll head out with our self-guided
walking tour maps to explore Railroad Avenue where you will find lovely
old homes, fun shops and historic buildings such as the Ashland Depot
and the Henry Clay Inn.
9:00 am to 3:00 pm
$21 for tour & lunch
Tour will accommodate 22 people. The deadline to sign up in the
Rec Center is March 16. The $21 must be paid when signing up.
Pentagon Tour
Tuesday, April 13
Join us for a chartered bus trip to the Pentagon outside of Washington,
DC.
This hour long walking tour with its 1½ mile route will expose us to the
history of all four branches of the military. We will visit the Memorial
placed inside the Pentagon near the 9/11 crash-site and the 9/11
Memorial Chapel. In the Hall of Heroes, we will get to see the
recipient’s names as well as a close look at the actual Medal of Honor.
Gettysburg - The High Water Mark

Cardio Room
We have moved our
cardio machines (treadmills, bikes, etc) to the fitness/aerobic
space upstairs. This will allow us to not only promote cardio
workout in one area, but it will enable us to service our guests
better. Providing a functional facility creates a welcoming
and safe environment. And that is part of facility planning.
