General Announcements
Sermon Series - Who Is This
Jesus Christ?
Jesus Christ is the central
figure in our Christian
faith. The Apostle Paul
affirmed that "God was in
Christ" (2 Corinthians 5:19.
Over the next several weeks,
I want to share with you in
my sermons my life long
quest to understand who
Jesus Christ was and is. I
invite you to come, listen,
respond and commit or
recommit your life to the
Lord we worship. Below is
the list of topics and
Scriptures.

The Friar's Fragment
The Transition Team is busy
working on the history phase
in the Church's Self-Study
and Developmental Tasks.
Soon you will be hearing
from them as they
communicate with you about
some significant stages in
Cool Spring Baptist Church's
history. They will also want
you to be personally
involved in some concrete
ways. They will let you know
how soon. Watch for their
communication. Let me state
again what a fine group of
persons are on the
Transition Team. They are
all committed Christians who
deeply love this church and
want the very best for it.
It is a privilege to
minister with them.
I want to commend you for
your faithful giving over
the last several weeks.
Having missed two Sundays
because of the snow, we fell
behind on our offerings. I
appealed to you to bring
your tithes and offerings
for the Sundays we missed
and you came faithfully
through with your offerings.
The last three week's
offerings of $75,366,
$46,076 and $50,170 actually
give us a $1,846 overage for
this date. Thanks for your
gracious response. This
doesn't mean that we can
relax. We have to continue
to give faithfully each
week, and I know you will.
As you know, I am presently
preaching a sermon series
entitled "Who Is This
Jesus Christ?" I am
seeking to help us
understand who Jesus is as
the central figure in our
faith and how we are to
grasp the cardinal doctrines
and teachings that surround
His presence. My messages
are drawn from my book
entitled "The
Compelling Faces of Jesus."
The sermons are, of course,
digested versions of the
chapters in the book. A
brief sermon doesn't allow
me the time to go into the
details on each of these
themes as I can do in my
book. If you are interested
in getting a copy of the
book, please call or come by
and see Candace Nahodil in
the church office and let
her know of your interest.
This book represents my
life-time study on who Jesus
Christ is. I hope you will
let my book and sermons
offer you some guidance in
your spiritual journey.

of the two days a month it
is open. It's time to

us through the winter
months. Each Adult Sunday

assigned particular items to

is appreciated.
Roadwork Near Cool Spring
Hanover County contractors
are installing a public
sewer line in Giles Farm
Road, our main entrance and
exit roadway. This line
coming up Giles Farm Road
will cross Atlee Station
Road, go under the CSX
railroad tracks and
ultimately run to the
county's Pole Green sewage
facility. The project is
expected to take several
weeks to complete. This
affects traffic entering and
exiting Giles Farm Road from
about 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
Monday through Friday, as
some turning lanes will be
restricted. A flagman is
present during these times
to assist traffic turning
into and out of Giles Farm
Road. This should not affect
church traffic at night or
on the weekends. Please use
extra caution when entering
and leaving the church
during these times.

30 Hour Famine
Update
The 30 Hour
Famine went
unbelievably
well. The 50+
High Schooler’s
had a great
experience.
Around 10 ended
up sleeping
outside (IT was
cold and very
windy), they did
their 3 mile
walk for water
and several
service projects
on Saturday.
They
collected over
$18,000!
What
an awesome
BLESSING. As
Bryan Dupuis
said in the
Sunday services,
the youth wanted
a bigger
challenge than
the $4000 they
raised 2 years
ago. Boy did God
bless them . Now
all that money
will go to Haiti
to feed people
through
Christian
ministries.
Thank you for
supporting the
youth through
prayer and
financially.

Reception Desk
Volunteers Needed
We Need
Your Help!!!
A smile for a visitor, a
cheerful greeting for a
telephone caller and
pleasant instructions
for a delivery person-
these are all very
important duties of a

week-day receptionist.
Positive first
impressions are critical
in helping our church
make a difference in the
lives of those in our
community. That's why
receptionists are such
important people!
Does this sound like a
position for you? Our
desire is to staff two
people a day from 9:00
am-12:30pm OR 12:30-4:00
pm. We currently have
six very capable,
faithful volunteers but

you can share with
another person. If you
