The Cool Spring Child Care Center began in September, 1987 as a ministry of Cool Spring Baptist Church. We are committed to provide quality care and positive learning experiences for children in a Christian environment. Through love and understanding we will endeavor to foster those values basic to our Christian faith.

Because children learn by doing, and because experience has proven to be an excellent teacher, our program is designed to provide those experiences that should help your child develop spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally, and socially. Children are provided guidance and support while involved in activities that give them the opportunity to progress in confidence, competence, and with an appreciation of others.

• Full time, year round care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years
   

• 1/2 day nursery school program for children ages 3 to 4 (Sept. - May, 9:00am to 12:00pm M-W-F or Tues-Thurs)
   

• School-age program including full time summer program, after school care, and school holidays
   

• Days and Hours:
   

  • Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm for full time and school-age care

  • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9:00 am to 12:00 noon for four year and 1/2 day nursery school

  • Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00 am to 12:00 noon for three year old 1/2 day nursery school.
    

Meals and Snacks:
For children who are at the center a full day, two snacks and lunch are provided. An afternoon snack is provided for children who come to the center after school. A morning snack is provided for 1/2 day nursery school children.

Holidays and Vacations:
Children who attend the center year round receive on vacation week per year plus an additional week if the child does not attend the center the week before Labor Day. Children who attend the 1/2 day nursery school program or only attend the center during the school year or during the summer do not receive a vacation week.

The center is closed on the following days:
New Years Day
Memorial Day
Fourth of July
Friday prior to Labor Day (teacher work day)
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Friday following Thanksgiving
Two days at Christmas

The regular weekly/monthly rate is required except for the week of Labor Day. Because we close the center of the Friday before Labor Day for a teacher workday, the fee for this week is prorated. This is the only week that the fee is prorated.
