Mission & Vision Statements
Mission:
To reach and develop all people into fully committed followers of
Jesus Christ.
Vision:
To be a Biblically functioning community of Christian believers. Our
goal is to glorify God by accurately reflecting Jesus Christ as we
strive to accomplish His redemptive purpose in our community and
world in obedience to His great commission.
Our Community
Cool Spring Baptist
Church is located in the rapidly growing northern suburb of
Richmond, VA called Mechanicsville. Due in part to our convenient
proximity to both I-95 and I-295, and large areas of undeveloped
land this once rural community is now home to over 75,000 people,
made up mainly of middle to upper middle class residences. In
response to this rapid growth there are three Elementary, and two
Middle and High Schools within 5 miles of the church.
Every year Cool Spring Baptist Church has strived to reach out to
and serve our local community. We have special activities like
Vacation Bible School, Family Fun Festival, Concerts, Christmas
plays, and CARITAS (Congregations Around Richmond Involved to Assure
Shelter). We also have an ongoing daily/weekly list of church
activities including AWANA, Community Bible Studies, Youth
Ministries, and open gym.
Expansion Plans

We currently have 82,300
sqft. under roof including our new Multi-purpose facility that has
given us additional worship space and aided the growth of our
successful Upward Sports ministry.

We are currently engaged
in the fundraising and construction phase of a new 29,000 sqft.
Children’s facility.

Our long range planning
team has targeted the construction of a new sanctuary in the near
future.

Our Statement on the Bible:
The sole basis of our belief is the Bible, composed of the 66 books
of the Old and New Testament. We believe that Scripture in its
entirety originated with God and that it was given through the
instrumentality of chosen men. It has God for its author, salvation
for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its
matter. It is the unique, full, and final authority on all matters
of faith and practice, and there are no other writings similarly
inspired by God.
