8:30 Bible Study
Hour
The Bible is the textbook on which our Bible study is based.
Visitors are welcome in any class at any time! In addition to the
regular Sunday morning classes, short-term and small-group Bible studies
are offered during the week on a seasonal basis. Consult the
Discipleship Brochure for
current classes being offered.
- Early Saints in Christ - Mark
Elkins - Teacher
Designed for an in-depth study of the scriptures, this class studies
the Bible verse by verse one book at a time. We are currently
studying the Book of Acts using the John MacArthur commentary.

- ACTS II - Scott Allen - Teacher
ACTS II is comprised of a diverse group from young adults to median
adults, both married and single. God's Word is studied through
focusing on books of the Bible and various other materials and
curriculum. Our desire is to apply scripture to everyday life, our
relationships and our families. A major emphasis is on care and
reaching out to one another.

- Life in the Spirit - Paul Martin - Teacher
In this class we endeavor to study God's Word "line upon line, precept
upon precept: supplying truth and application to our daily living.
Currently we are studying Ephesians and will begin another book as the
Holy Spirit leads. Prayer support, study, discussion and
presenting biblical perspectives to current events are important to us
as we grow together in Christ-likeness through His love. We meet
bi-monthly outside of class tin social settings to better know one
another. Come join us!

- New Life - David Craymer - Teacher
This class ministers in a friendly atmosphere to median adults who study
God's Word through different translations of the Bible. The style of
study is lecture with class participation in small groups. Members
participate in local ministries that carry out God's Word to the
community. We study
the Bible one book at a time.

- New Horizons - Bob Grimsley - Teacher
- This class is for anyone desiring an in-depth study of God's Word.
This class studies the Bible one book at a time.

- Early Beginnings - Barbara Frakes and Ron Wilson - Teachers
This class of men and women 45-65 gather each week to study and learn
more of God's Word by sharing with one another. We share God's
love by caring, supporting missions, and seeking to apply the Biblical
truths to everyday life. We study the scriptures in a topical format.

- Parents of Teens - Lilli Hausenfluck - Teacher
This class is composed primarily of parents of youth involved in
Cool Spring's Student Ministry. We use a discussion-oriented format
and focus on Biblical application of issues in the parent/teen context.

- Looking for a Sunday School class?
Interested in studying the Bible with other parents of teens? Trying to
keep up with your middle and high school students? Try the Parents of
Teens Sunday School Class. On September 9, 2007, we are starting a
new Bible study of the book of Acts. This year-long study will include
short weekly videos and then group discussions. The Parents of Teens
class takes special interest in the youth ministry at Cool Spring
through prayer and service. We support each other as we face the trials
and joys of raising teenagers!
Our statement of faith and action is:
Love the Lord (Study God's Word; communicate with Him in prayer)
Love each other (Encourage and support one another)
Love the lost (Reach out to our community and the world)
We meet at 8:30 Sunday mornings in room B88. We would love to have you
visit any time.

Others You) This is an "open to all ideas" Bible study
designed for active class participation. The subjects range from
the daily impact Christ can have on your life to an in-depth study of
books of the Bible. Diversity in age in encouraged to allow broad
perspectives and life sharing experiences.

material studied each week for adults ages 60 and over. We study
the Bible one book at a time.

- Deaf / Hard of Hearing - Darlene Peyton - Teacher
The Deaf / Hard of Hearing class ministers to the unique needs of the deaf and
hard-of-hearing adults through the use of sign language. In addition,
our deaf and hard-of-hearing friends can enjoy an interpreted 8:30 worship service.

We are comprised of young adults who study the Bible
using literature to discover the fullness of God in our lives and how to
better relate the Bible to everyday life.

This is an active, discussion oriented class comprised of young adults
seeking to learn how God's Word applies to modern day life.

Growing In Faith Together is characterized
by young adults with young children who are
seeking and experiencing God through spiritual growth by studying His
Word and interacting with one another in a friendly atmosphere.

This is a mixed-age class of couples and singles who participate in an
in-depth study of God's Word.

- Women of Faith - Regina Hodges - Teacher
This is a caring, loving group of single and married ladies who are always
willing to help others with a need. Members study God's Word and apply scripture to the unique needs of women.

- Genesis - Lyndi Wells - Teacher
- This class is comprised of men and women who study God's Word and
actively discuss its application in family and daily life. Our class
participates in the Recreation Ministry, supporting it within the church
and community.

- Dependables - Charles Payne - Teacher
This class is composed of single and married men studying God's Word
in a small group environment. We seek God's guidance in everyday
life.

This class enjoys teacher-class interaction using God’s Word to seek
and discover His purpose for daily living. The class is made up of
mostly married people but all are welcome.

- Disciples - Wes McIntyre and Bobby Kent - Teachers
This class is comprised of median to senior adults ages 50 and
up. We study God’s Word together and encourage each other to
discover it’s meaning and purpose for our lives. Our desire is
to reach out to others and minister to them in His name. “If you
continue in my word, you are my disciples indeed.” - John 8:31

This class
shows genuine love and concern for each other. The focus is on
God's direction for life both individually and as a group. We are
comprised of adults ages 60 and over.

- Fellowship - Bill McKim and Don Booth - Teachers
This
class is for retired and senior men seeking God's direction through the
study of His Word. We seek to apply scripture to the unique needs
of men.

- Ruth - Carol Akin - Teacher
This class seeks to grow in service to God, develop spiritually in
faith, prayer and fellowship and submit to the perfect will of God. The
love of God is reflected in the love and support given to each other. We
are comprised of adult women age 60 and over.

- TEL-Fidelis - Karen Wright - Teacher
This class is composed of women age 60 and up dedicated to a deeper insight into the scriptures and to the ministry
of loving and caring for others. The name "Fidelis" was chosen to
signify the hope of all Christians to remain faithful to our
Lord, Jesus Christ.
